Young Artist Gala

This Sunday I was honored to participate in the first Young Artist Gala at the New World School of the Arts Theater in Downtown Miami. It was a very special evening because Gabriella Gabino, Cristine Arguelles, and I were honored and commended for having dance at the Conchita Espinosa Academy Conservatory of the Arts consecutively since we were four years old. It was an experience I will never forget! They asked me to share something before my last dance:

"I know that my days at Conchita have made me mejor, mejor, y mejor. How many people can say

they have danced together with their sisters since they were four years old? We have been friends

since pink ballet and under the guidance of our second "mum" we learned to dance. We learned

perseverance, commitment, and grace. I learned that in our lives just like in our dances, the music

and world has different beats and ups and downs. I learned to flow with it because you can not

change it. I realized that together even during the difficult parts you can still make something

beautiful. In all of Ms. Daniella's choreographies, she has always brought out the extraordinary in

each one of us. We have learned that together we can continue to do that with each other to rise

higher.

We have even been fortunate to dance all over the world! We have shared our joys and sorrows. For

many years we have been part of a beautiful dance family. I know I can count on all of them like an

"Abacus." I know that together we can break any "Chains." We have found our "Muse" and see the

world through the beautiful "Kaleidescope" of faith and hope. We have been given a strong

foundation to stand on "Terra Firma" We have learned from the best. Our time has come to

choreograph our dance. We are ready.

Even though I must leave Conchita, I know Conchita will never leave me."
